OOGA Webinar Series: Methane Reporting in an Ever Changing Environment
OOGA Webinar Series: Methane Reporting in an Ever Changing Environment
Wednesday, December 3, 2025 (11:00 AM - 12:00 PM) (EST)
Description
Since 2010, the oil and gas industry has been reporting greenhouse gas and, more specifically, methane emissions to federal and/or state agencies. Over the years the methods and requirements have adjusted to reflect the current view of greenhouse gas reporting. In 2024, the calculation methods for emissions were drastically changed, and now in 2025 the current administration might suspend reporting for 10 years. This webinar will outline the current state of methane reporting at both the federal and state levels, how things could shift and how additional requirements that outside agencies or organizations could impact operator reporting.
